What people are saying about Robert Note: The recommendations on this page are out of date. Since I opened Moving To The Beat in Wilton, CT (offering children's classes and birthday parties) I tend to revise that website, www.movingtothebeat.net and not this one. I play in libraries around Wilton regularly, i.e. the public libraries in Wilton, Ridgefield, Norwalk, Redding and New Canaan. Those children's librarians are familiar with me. |

You involve the children totally in the make believe you create. Your guitar work is exquisite! The ability to be quiet and gentle one minute and outrageously silly the next is fantastic. A fresh approach to traditional children's songs, plus original songs with real interest.

Robert the Guitar Guy's musical show "Moving to theBeat", for children 3-9 years old, was a delightful treat for all who attended the performance! Over eighty children and adults watched the very lively and fun show, all moving to the beat of Robert's songs! There was never a dull moment during the performance, as kids responded to the show's high level of energy and enthusiasm. Even the parents could not sit still! The entire audience naturally joined in with Robert and his music and it was evident that he had a great rapport with them. His command of his material and his obvious love for music had a wonderful effect on the audience. When the show was over we heard the kids commenting on how much fun they had and the parents giving their voice of approval with nothing but positive comments about the show. Any school or library that treats its children to Robert's show will be getting quality entertainment at an affordable price. I wholeheartedly endorse his program and recommend it to anyone interested in "fun musical education."

Lisa Pichnarcik, Librarian, Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Library in Trumbull CT September 1, 1999: Dear Robert, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful program you brought to the Library this summer! The songs, stories, and magic all encouraged the kids to be actively involved in the program. The program was not only lively and fun for the children, but also encouraged the parents to participate which made it a real family event. |

The feedback I received after the program from the parents and children has been both positive and very enthusiastic. The kids loved getting up and moving to the songs, playing the instruments, and wondering just how DID Claude do that trick? They really thought you were fantastic because you didn't just sing to them, you sang and played with them. |

| . | The kids were very comfortable and at ease with you, and
definitely interested in the program! The parents were also very
pleased and impressed with your performance. Your interaction with
the kids was humorous, patient, natural, and age-appropriate. Thank
you for sharing your talents and you obvious love of performing for
children with us at the Library!
We are really looking forward to seeing you on October 27th for our Halloween Family Event. We are gearing it to children ages 2 through 8 and hope to have another lively program! I do have one question, however: Do you have any suggestions for a title for the program? Let me know if you have any thoughts. |

Dear Robert, Thank you for presenting an outstanding program for your young summer readers. Enclosed are some newspaper clippings. I think the photographers had as much fun as the kids! You will remain on the list of traditions at the Southbury Library. |

Gretchen Dobos, Children's Librarian Torrington Library, Torrington,CT August 25, 1997 Dear Robert, It was so nice to meet you last week when you came to the Library to help us celebrate the end of the summer reading program. I could tell the children were having a wonderful time. I'm still humming some of the tunes that got caught in my head and I've heard others doing it as well. Enclosed there are pictures from the Waterbury Republican that I promised I would send you. I was really happy that they were front page of the local news section and in color too. Your talent must have impressed the reporter/photographers as well as anyone lucky enough to be in hearing range last week. Thank you once again for being part of a great day. |

Dear Robert, Your program was a smashing success! The children were engrossed right from the beginning. You certainly have an excellent rapport with them. I hope we will be able to work something out for the Christmas season. |
